Podcast: Does free enterprise have support in either major political party?

A discussion of the infatuation with industrial policy on the New Right.

I do an occasional podcast, called The Political Notebook, with my son Billy Robb, a high school social studies teacher and author of the Cholla Express Substack.

On our most recent episode, we explore the critique of market capitalism that’s become in vogue on the New Right. We discuss such questions as whether the New Right’s critique of market capitalism is any sounder than that of the left. And whether it is politically realistic to think that the New Right can best the left in capturing and deploying government power to advance their version of market reforms.
